Tejarat, Mellat banks to open branch in Dubai

TEHRAN, April 12 (MNA) – Tejarat and Mellat banks of Iran are to open PIB (Personal Information Banks) branch in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on July 2005, said Naser Salar, the acting director of Bank Tejarat on Tuesday.

“In cooperation with Bank Mellat, Bank Tejarat has already established a branch named PIB in London, which is a combination of the two banks, and on July, another branch of PIB will independently start work in Dubai”, the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) quoted Salar as saying.

 

Bank Tejarat has already set up branches in Paris and Tajikistan.

 

Also in his remarks he referred to Bank Tejarat activities for privatization in the past two years, stating that with regard to the amount and type of securities and other related issues, the status quo of claims and collectables has been determined.

 

Salar further noted that Bank Tejarat has significant plans to attract deposits and distribute facilities in making profits and more transparent presence in the state bank system.
